Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend from the country genre to mainstream culture, and has become an icon of the pop world. She also conquered every continent through her music. Swift has thrown off her country roots as if she was shedding skins for second purposes, showing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter of her time. She has the ability to harness the current zeitgeist and turn it into her unique. Her early songs, such as the neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. However, her second album Fearless of 2008 proved to be a songwriter finding her voice as well as a broader fan base. The album was a huge success, not just in the United States, having six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story & You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. It also performed well all over the world. Speak Now delivered almost two years later, which consolidated the success and moved Swift into the stratosphere of stardom. The singer's popularity increased over the course of her subsequent three albums: Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within an industry she felt was hers to be. Her name was always at the top of pop even when she dropped her style with her sibling albums Folklore and Evermore in 2020.
