Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best recognized for her role as House in Fox's medical drama House. Raised in Wayne with a strict Jewish traditions, she moved into New York City at the age of 18 and began studying theater at Tisch School of the Arts. The school was very active with club culture and caused enough controversy to attract the attention of the media. She utilised both her training in music and fame to make and appear in a new musical, Positive Me. Awake to the Wild Side, a show that she hosted on MTV became her first job. Once the program was over the actress went on to work in movies as well as TV productions. Her first job was in tiny roles and then established herself in the process of becoming an actress.
