 Ray earned her Actors' Equity Association (AAA) card when she appeared as Rusty in Footloose and performed "Let’s Hear It For The Boy". She played Nemo in Robert Lopez and Kristin Lopez's Finding Nemo: The Musical at Orlando's Disney World. Ray played the character Olive Ostrovsky in the national tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She was part of the Broadway cast of Hair in its final year as Crissy and sang the tune "Frank Mills". She was Chris's first on-screen performance in The Sparky Chronicles, a youth-oriented short film. In the television series Pretty Little Liars, Ray played the role of CeCe, who was a "beyond charming blonde stylist of twenty years old in a boutique with one shoe on the market and one from the past" between 2012-2017. Ray was invited to return to PLL to film again , and stated that it was a memorable experience as well as an original character. She's an alcoholic. I find her odd since she's only 22 years old and hangs out at high school with high schoolers. It's like, 'Hey, girl! Get a life! '" In 2013, Ray joined the Season 4 cast of the CBS police procedural drama Blue Bloods as Officer Edit "Eddie" Janko, a part she's played through the show's 12th season.
